These works are a result of plain air studies undertaken in Central Australia. The works reflect the beauty of the landscape and its unforgiving nature, where European attempts to tame the landscape have resulted in erosion, forlorn attempts at farming and settlement. The works emphasise strong colours, line making and deep rich patina.
